One of our goals at The Lift Chair Store is to offer our customers information which can help them feel confident in their purchase. Today, with manufacturers offering more and more ways for you to build a lift chair, we thought it was time to explain what options are out there. Below we explain the most common options you will find on the lift chairs that we sell.
Please note that adding options to your lift chair will increase the delivery time of the chair from 1-3 weeks depending on the manufacturer and option selected. However, we believe that the extra comfort you will receive in the long run is well worth the wait.

Heat & Massage: Our most popular option is heat and massage. Every manufacturer offers chairs with this option. Although the exact details depend on the lift chair model, in general there will be heat units and vibration units placed throughout the chair. The heat units warm your muscles up, increasing the blood flow through them. The vibration units loosen up your tense, tight muscles so you can truly relax. The therapeutic effects of heat and massage cannot be overstated and this is reflected in the popularity of this option.
Footrest Extension: This option extends the length of the chair's footrest to suit the needs of individuals with longer legs. This can solve the problem of having your feet hang off the end of the footrest which can be uncomfortable for some and cause circulation problems in others.
Lumbar Pillow: This option adds a pillow that is made to be placed at the lower back for increased support.
Head Pillow: This option adds a pillow that is made to be placed under the head for increased support. Many come with snaps so they will not move around.
Left-Hand Control: If you select this option then the lift chair's control will be placed on the left side of the chair instead of the usual right side.
Fabric Protection: This option adds a fabric protector to your lift chair. While every lift chair manufacturer strives to make their fabric as durable as possible there is no substitute for fabric protection. It makes the fabric resistant to stains and much easier to clean.
